Tribalyst proudly partnered with Gallery Hotel to present "Plastic Blobular World," an immersive event conceptualized by the renowned designer Karim Rashid. This unique event explored the evolving aesthetics of our physical world, emphasizing the transition towards softer, more amorphous, and blobular forms.

The theme of the event revolved around the idea that the world around us is becoming increasingly soft, round, and flexible. Our objects, vehicles, and high-tech gadgets are evolving into rounder, more approachable shapes. This shift is a reflection of our digital age and leisure culture, signifying a change in how we interact with our environment.

This casualization of shape, form, material, and behavior has now become a significant movement. The term "blobular" captures this new material landscape where tactile surfaces enhance our physical experiences. Smart plastic materials enable objects to flex, morph, change color, and adapt to different temperatures, creating a more engaging and comfortable environment.

Karim Rashid's vision of a "super hyper soft blobular world" underscores the event. He believes that the softening of objects makes them more human, friendly, approachable, and comfortable. This softness is an extension of our bodies, making the world around us more tactile, flexible, playful, and engaging.

The official launch of "Plastic Blobular World" was graced by the hotel management and Karim Rashid, alongside notable partners such as Veuve Clicquot, Perrier, Mini Cooper, Issey Miyake, and DesignSingapore. This grand opening set the tone for the two-week exhibit, celebrating the collaboration and innovation behind the movement.

Installed in the hotel lobby, the exhibit provided an elevated experience for visitors and guests. It showcased how the smart plastic material movement is transforming our surroundings, creating objects and environments that are not only functional but also emotionally resonant. Attendees experienced firsthand the innovative designs and materials that define this movement.
